What are e-Statements?
e-Statements are electronic versions of your paper statements, accessible via Online Banking.
What accounts are eligible for e-Statements?
All Checking and Money Market accounts that do not receive cancelled checks back with a monthly statement and all Statement Savings and Certificate of Deposit (CD) accounts are immediately eligible for e-Statements. Please refer to our "Self Enrollment Guide" for complete details.
What is required to sign up for e-Statements?
Signing up for e-Statements requires enrollment in Online Banking. Please refer to the Self Enrollment Guide to take advantage of e-Statements. If you receive cancelled checks back in your statement or you have a passbook account you may need to change to check images or statement only to enroll in e-Statements.
How do I sign up for e-Statements?
Visit www.newalliancebank.com, log on to Online Banking and select e-Statements tab. Proceed by clicking "Not Yet Enrolled for e-Statements" button. Complete the required information. Be sure to enter your correct e-mail address. Then choose "Submit".
We will then send you an e-mail confirming that we received your enrollment form. Once you receive your confirmation e-mail enter your user name and password to read and accept the user agreement to complete the process.

Are e-Statements safe?
Yes. e-Statements are secure because they are only available through Online Banking. You will need your Access ID and Password to log into Online Banking.
Does my e-Statement contain the same information as my paper statement?
Yes. Your e-Statement contains the same information as your paper statement. The e-Statement itself is a Portable Document Format (PDF) version of your paper statement and looks exactly like the paper statements you are currently receiving.
Is there a fee for e-Statements?
No. e-Statements are a free service from NewAlliance Bank!
How often will I get my e-Statement?
e-Statements cycle at the same frequency (monthly or quarterly) as your paper statements.
How do I access my e-Statement?
Once you've signed up for the e-Statements, we will send you an e-mail message whenever a new statement is available. You should receive an e-mail within days before your paper statement would normally arrive in the mail.
OR - simply log into online banking at any time at www.newalliancebank.com and select "e-Statements". You may then choose to access any of your previously received e-Statements.
Simply select the statement you want to view. You'll notice that your e-Statement looks just like your paper statement. Adobe Acrobat Reader® then provides you with many ways to view, zoom-in, zoom-out, and search, print or save your e-Statement.
Note: Viewing e-Statements requires the free Adobe Acrobat Reader® software. Reader allows you to open the .PDF file format of your e-Statement.
How do I change/reset my password?
Your password can be easily changed or reset by logging into Online Banking, choosing the e-Statements tab, and then choosing the action you need.
When will my e-Statement be available?
In most cases, e-Statements are available within 48 hours of your normal statement cutoff date. This would be several days before your paper statement would normally arrive in the mail.
What if I have a joint account? Can both joint owners access e-Statement?
No. An account is assigned only one username and password for viewing e-Statements.
How long is an e-Statement available online?
Up to 18 months starting the month you enroll for e-Statements.
Will I continue to receive paper statements if I sign up for e-Statements?
No. Paper statements will no longer be mailed once you've signed up for e-Statements and accepted the e-Statement User Agreement.
Why can't I find a specific e-Statement I'm looking for?
If you can't find a statement that you are seeking, it could be due to one of the following reasons:
- You did not complete step two of the enrollment process. Please refer to the e-mail notification we sent to you to complete the process.
- The e-Statement you selected does not exist. This may be due to selecting:
- a statement date prior to enrolling for e-Statements or,
- a statement date of the current month or,
- a statement date in the future.
Copies of statements prior to enrollment are available upon request (fee may apply).
How do I notify the bank if my e-mail address changes?
Please visit any local branch office to change your e-mail address, or write to us at the address below.

How do I de-enroll from e-Statements?
Please submit a signed request to us at your local branch office or write to us at the address above. You may call our Customer Contact Center if you have any questions about the process.
Can my e-Statement information be exported to other programs?
No. e-Statements are produced as .PDF files and cannot be imported into other programs. But you can view and save the PDF file as needed.
Can my e-Statement be e-mailed?
No. e-Statements cannot be e-mailed to you. You must log into Online Banking to view. However, they are produced as .PDF files so you can view, save and print as needed.
